Downtown Development Authority Board meeting dates have changed. Effective July 27, 2022, meetings will be held the 4th Wednesday of each month (rather than the 2nd Thursday of each month). Meetings are regularly scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Alma Municipal Building. (Meetings are subject to cancellation if no business is pressing. Please check this page for cancellation notices.)
The Alma Downtown Development Authority formed in 1996 and working with the City of Alma, serves to strengthen and support existing businesses and encourage new business opportunities in the downtown Alma Central Business District.
The DDA also works closely with the Alma Action Association to promote community activities to assist the downtown property owners and businesses in developing a viable downtown for the citizens of Alma and Gratiot County.

The DDA mission is to lead the community in the enhancement and revitalization of the downtown district by creating and implementing a development plan, to promote economic growth, and to encourage historic preservation and restoration of the historically significant buildings in the downtown and surrounding area.
